It has survived many drops and abuse and still works great. The switch is very easy to turn on and off, even for a 3 year old. I only have 2 complaints. The first is that the handle is small and therefore not as comfortable for an adult to use, but for kids it is GREAT! Also, if packed too tightly in a duffle, the switch can easily be accidentally be turned on, and that runs down your batteries.
